Like friends we'll walk [P] Serenity

[Casden]

The soft sand of the cove had turned to fresh, springy grass underpaw, and Casden quietly observed the meadow before him. Delicate blooms of vivid colours dotted the grass like bright paint upon an emerald canvas. How pretty.

The alabaster sire padded leisurely up to the nearest flower - a small plant with bright violet petals- and pressed his nose to the petals, feeling their silken smooth surface. Never had he seen such flowers, as they had never grown in his homeland.

[Serenity]

Serenity sprinted across the beach after a small creature exploding in colours of green and yellow. It flew, gracefully but in the way of an animal in fear, and dangerously flew close to Serenity's nose. The beat of it's delicate wings blew a soft gust of air each time it flapped, and Serenity was questioning her ability to kill and eat such a delicate and precious animal. Smiling, she stopped immediately, her pink scaly tail sliding next to her and wagging at the tip. She turned to the large meadow behind this cove, and felt the presence of a nearby wolf. She almost glided towards the colourful meadow, filled with excitement. The flowers she saw were breathtaking, and she stopped to pull one out of the ground with her long thin tail.

Serenity's ears suddenly pricked forward at the wolf near her. The ivory male was pressing his snout into the flowers, either smelling them, or feeling them. Cautiously, Serenity stepped forward. "May I help you with something?" She smiled playfully. Her tail slopped next to her in a very lazy way. "Forgotten to introduce myself, haven't I?" she said carefully, keeping her distance from the stranger. "My name is Serenity. May you be kind enough to tell me yours?" Serenity tipped her head a little, making her appear a little younger, awaiting the male's reply.

[Casden]

The presence of another, followed by feminine vocals, alerted the snowy sire to the company of a female.

Lifting his bulky head from the flowers, he discovered the beautiful lady, covered in sleek beige fur, save the elegant alabaster of her neck and narrow muzzle. What really caught his attention, however, was the reptalian tail and hindquarters she possessed, bright pink in colour.

"Just stopping to smell the roses," Casden gave a merry smile. "It's a good habit to get into."

She introduced herself, and then enquired for his.

"'Serenity', huh?" He tested her name upon his tongue and grinned. "A pleasure to meet you. I'm Casden, but I also answer to Cas or Casden."

His attention returned to her lizard-like tail curled up at her side, and he had to avert his indigo gaze to avoid appearing rude.

"Are you in a pack, Serenity?" The ivory sire chose to question instead.

[Serenity]

The wolf Serenity had encountered seemed quite friendly, merry even. She stared at the wolf, and how he had a short, furry tail instead of a long one.
"'Serenity', huh?" the male had said, "A pleasure to meet you. I'm Casden, but I also answer to Cas or Casden." He then seemed to stare at Serenity's tail, as though it were unusual. The male quickly broke the gaze and asked, "Are you in a pack, Serenity?".
"Indeed, I am," Serenity answered, trying to keep her tail hidden from the 'unusual' wolf. "Aranosa Litus. Pack of the islands, pack of the sea." she said happily, smiling at Casden. She kept staring at the furry tail. Was he normal, or was she normal? Her head buzzed around, and she decided to ask a simple question. "You're not like me, are you? You are...different, I am different. My alpha is just like you. She has the same tail." Serenity snapped her jaw shut. How dare she question his appearance? She felt a sudden pang of guilt. "I mean, I don't want to appear rude. I do apologize Casden..." she added sheepishly.

[Casden]

A merry grin split his alabaster muzzle as Serenity apologised, "That's quite alright - we're all different, aren't we? I admire your tail, actually. It's so..." He had to comb his mind for the correct word, and settled for, "Amazing!"

Casden dipped his head apologetically, "I'm sorry, Serenity - please forgive my lack of manners." Settling himself upon his haunches, he enquired, "Would you be kind enough to tell me how fun Pack life is, despite my rudeness?"

[Serenity]

Serenity smiled. The conversation with Casden was becoming very awkward in such a friendly way. They kept apologising for rudeness, and they then said it was alright. She was almost the same as Casden, Serenity thought, almost the same. "I admire your tail, actually. It's so...Amazing!" Casden had replied, and Serenity picked it up and blushed slightly. "Well, thank you! It's exactly the same color as my grandmother." she said, head held proud and high in the image of her grandmother.

"Would you be kind enough to tell me how fun Pack life is, despite my rudeness?" Casden then enquired, and Serenity thought for a bit. "Well, where to start! It's like a family. You treat the alpha with respect, you get to stay in the family. You get duties, and whatever to catch while hunting, you share, unless the pack says you can have it. I think it's fun." She replied, laughing quietly. "Its certainly better than being alone."

[Casden]

Serenity raised her regal head with pride as she spoke of her family, and Casden dipped his head to respect the woman he did not know, "And a beautiful colour it is."

She then continued into an explanation of the pack's lifestyle, and compared it to loneliness.

"Isolation is truly the worst punishment one can suffer." Casden commented absentmindedly as he turned to the blooms below his paws, nosing a vivid yellow flower next to his left forepaw.

[Serenity]

With good wishes in mind, Serenity smiled peacefully and with meaning. "Indeed, it is. I couldn't imagine being without even a friend." She couldn't think of anything else to say. Casden turned to the pretty flowers, pressing his snout against a beautiful yellow one. Serenity tilted her head. Was she normal, with her tail and scales, or was he normal? She couldn't bring herself to the answer. Instead she rolled over playfully into the soft grass and blooms before her.

"Are you in a pack, Casden? Just a bit of curiosity taking over." she asked, getting up and shaking her fur from all the loose grass that had stuck to her. Maybe Casden would like to join her pack, with Novacine's permission, of course? Serenity smiled happily.

[Casden]

Casden's indigo gaze turned to a butterfly fluttering past, admiring the colours splattered across its wings like paint on a canvas. He gave a low hum of agreement to her comment of isolation. It was nice, talking with someone who understood. It was nice to talk to anyone at all, actually. His interest returned to her as she began to roll in the fish grass, and an amused, friendly smile graced his features. She was interesting, this pretty female, and he wished to meet her again, once they parted.

Serenity then enquired as to whether he had joined the ranks of a pack as of yet, and he shook his head.

"No, not yet," The site replied, and added eagerly, "But I want to join one soon.

[Sakura]

Sakua padded into the two wolves line of sight. "I'm Sakura." she said as she fixed the alabaster male with her warm, celadon green gaze. She was beginning to like this male A little. She then fixed her gaze on the other wolf. A female with a.... scaley tail?!? "Is that possible?" She thought to herself. Not wanting to be rude, she just smiled and nodded in a friendly way.

[Serenity]

Serenity smiled at Casden, but the sound of pawprints nearby made Serenity lift her long, slithery tail in a somewhat rattlesnake-type position, growling subtly and stepped backwards a little. A female approached, a black and white wolf, who looked at Casden and introduced herself. "I'm Sakura." she had said, a very pretty name. She then turned to Serenity. Her tail was still in a strange position, so she let it slide down gracefully, before nodding at Sakura. Why did all these wolves have strange, short fluffy tails? Were there no Scaori? "My name is Serenity. It is nice to meet you Sakura." she said suspiciously, questioning herself on whether now would be the time to leave or not.

[Casden]

"Sakura," He dipped his head in greeting. "It's good to see you again." A glance at Serenity told him that she appeared contemplative, as though she was pondering over whether she would take her leave. The ivory sire hoped he would be able to speak with her a little longer, or at least again after they parted. “You're so hard to let go."

She won't leave in this post, maybe the next :3)) The grass swayed subtly and the flowers beneath the girl's feet began to drown as Serenity drew water from the ground and splayed it around her. She didn't feel right here. Serenity knew the two wolves new each other, Casden made that clear and obvious. Serenity began to feel very awkward, very out of place. She stood, her tail flickering up and down, as she felt the need to go. It would be much better if she left the two to their normal wolf ways, something Serenity had never come to understand. "Would you like me to go? I am perfectly fine in going back to my Islands." she smiled a fake smile, as she thought about how she didn't fit in around here. "After all, my home is only a little farther from here, so you can visit me anytime." She smiled again, this time for real, as she thought about showing Casden, and maybe this Sakura, her home in the Regius Islands. ------------------------------------- "The journey is the destination"

The water pooling around his paws did not strike him as abnormal - born into a forest that seemed to always rain, if not snow all hours of the day, wet ground underneath him was not a problem. "Go if you wish, Serenity," The sire nodded his consent, not that he had a right to force her to stay against her will, and understood this perfectly. "But please stay, if you wish." At the mention of the scaled female's home, his expression relaxed into a merry smile, "I'd love to visit you one day, if you did not mind my company." “You're so hard to let go."

She listened closely, eyes still staring into the distance, to Casden's reply. "Well, I would like to know you both a bit more, although I would like to let my alpha know where I am." she replied, eyes fixating onto Casden and Sakura. She raised her tail slightly and tilted her golden muzzle to the blue sky, howling to Novacine, her alpha, before looking back at Casden and Sakura. "There. Hopefully, she had heard me, and will know I am safe, not captured." Serenity couldn't help but to release a soft smile. ------------------------------------- "The journey is the destination"
